The tropical isle of St. Croix, which lies 40 miles to the south of St. Thomas, was discovered by Christopher Columbus in 1493. For all its beauty he named it “Santa Cruz” (Holy Cross). Years later, under the French flag, Santa Cruz was renamed Saint Croix. Cruzan Rum comes from St. Croix and the name Cruzan comes from the name of the local people of the island known as “Crucians”.
In 1760, a sugar mill began crushing cane at the current site of Cruzan Rum distillery on St. Croix.
Since the early 1800’s, the Nelthropp family has lived on and been an integral part of this legendary island’s rich history. It is here, on the same grounds, that the family produces Cruzan Rum, thereby upholding the centuries old tradition of quality Virgin Islands’ rum. Using only the purest, natural ingredients and processes, the Cruzan Rum Distillery has vastly improved on the rums of yesteryear.

Cruzan Rum Punch
INGREDIENTS
1.5 parts Cruzan(R) 9 Spiced Rum
1 part Cruzan Aged Light Rum
2 parts Mango Juice
1 part Pineapple Juice
1/4 part Grenadine
2 Dashes Bitters
MIXING INSTRUCTIONS
Mix all together and top with a splash of Soda
Cruzan 9 Lives
INGREDIENTS
1 part Cruzan(R) 9 Spiced Rum
1 part Cruzan(R) Aged Light Rum
3 parts Pineapple Juice
2 parts Orange Juice
2-3 dashes Angostura Aromatic Bitters
MIXING INSTRUCTIONS
Shake all ingredients except bitters with ice and pour into a Hurricane glass. Garnish with 2-3 dashes of bitters and a pineapple wedge on the rim.
Cruzan Rum Breeze
INGREDIENTS
1 part Cruzan Black Cherry Rum
1 part Cruzan Aged Light Rum
2 parts pineapple juice
Ginger Ale
MIXING INSTRUCTIONS
Pour first three ingredients over ice in a long drink glass. Top up with Ginger Ale and garnish with a lime twist.
